Labor should preference Liberals ahead of 'reckless and irresponsible' Greens: Cormann | Sky News Australia

|Finance Minister Mathias Cormann has called out Opposition leader Bill Shorten amid recent debates over voting preferences. It comes after both Labor and the Coalition said they would put One Nation bellow their major party rivals when an undercover Al Jazeera investigation uncovered representatives of One Nation vying for donations from the US gun lobby in exchange for relaxed gun laws in Australia.

Mr Cormann says he supports the Prime Minister's move on preferencing One Nation beneath Labor '100 per cent' but says it's now a question of what Mr Shorten will do with the Greens. The Finance Minister says the Labor leader should put the Greens behind the Liberal Party in its preferences unless he supports the 'reckless and irresponsible policies' of the Greens that 'undermine our national and economic security'.
