The ninth annual Buskers Festival in Thunder Bay is set to be bigger and better this year, with an expanded focus on sourcing talent and attracting cross-border tourism. The festival aims to highlight the Bay and Algoma neighborhood as a tourist destination and boost the local economy. TD will be sponsoring the event for the second consecutive year.

THUNDER BAY – The Bay and Algoma Buskers Festival is returning bigger and better than ever according to festival organizers.

“We're trying to get some cross-border tourism and just really kind of create the festival as an economic driver,” said Uriel Lubuk, festival director, on Friday. For the second straight year, TD will be sponsoring the event. Michael Nitz, vice-president for TD for Northern Ontario and Manitoba, said that continuing the relationship between the company and the festival was an obvious choice.
