British runner Russ Cook, known on social media as @hardestgeezer, has had the moment he became the first person to ever run the entire length of Africa somewhat spoiled by a supporter breaking the finish line tape before him.

Russ Cook becomes first person ever to run the entire length of Africa. He completed the 16,000km journey, the equal of 385 marathons, to the chants of ‘geezer, geezer, geezer’ from the massive crowd that gathered to see him finish. It was almost perfect climax to an epic feat. The only problem: he wasn’t the first one to hit the red tape. Dozens of runners joined Cook in the final stages of the last leg, supporting him from behind... except for one, who broke the tape before him.
