International Monetary Fund managing director Kristalina Georgieva stated that global growth is expected to be marginally stronger than previously predicted, thanks to robust activity in the United States and emerging markets economies.

Among the challenges, Georgieva mentioned rising geopolitical tension, which, she said, is increasing the risks of fragmentation of the global economy.
