'As wage growth moves towards 4%, you start to worry about a recession.' Increasing wage and energy costs could hurt corporate profits, creating another hurdle for the stock market

Economists expect to see a strong month of wage growth when the Labor Department releases the March jobs report Friday. Wages grew at their fastest pace in nearly a decade in February, after starting to pick up speed just over a year ago.

I am Sonia Sotomayor's 3rd cousin who the media ATE cause I NATO deviced her for memory wiping me and stealing my real estate an bank account for her clóset lesbo Chaz Bono, Jane Fonda slavery club. Please NATO report them along with Kay Baily Hutchinson!!

morgfair corporations making lower profits (but still profits!) because human beings are making closer to a livable wage is NOT a recession. The DOW going up is a gauge of how much $ is being sucked OUT of the economy.

gtconway3d Thanks . Always looking out for the average American. 😳You continue to be so tone deaf to the growing divide in this country. But oh that’s not your concern is it.

gtconway3d Increasing wage costs? WHERE?

gtconway3d This has always always always been their excuse.

gtconway3d The corporations can go and **** themselves

gtconway3d That is such a bad word. Hurting Corporate Profits :(. I get it as does most of the Country. If everybody paid their fair share maybe things balance out ?

gtconway3d If you're a Corp. and say you make a 100 mil in profits... please explain to me why the Corp. can't sacrifice profits and instead of making a 100 MIL just make 50 million & be HAPPY. Then pay your people a livable wage so they don't have to have two other fucking jobs... George?

Businesses are not really job creators. This is fallacy that's been promoted by ... businesses. Without consumers, businesses have no reason to exist, no jobs to create. When workers make more, they spend more, creating more jobs. When workers make less...fewer jobs are needed.

gtconway3d In the WSJ /GOP perfect world, profits go up forever while worker wages stay flat, or ideally go down!

gtconway3d This is such bs. Higher wages leads to more consumer spending which leads to higher profits for companies

gtconway3d Dafuq is 'wage growth'?

gtconway3d Imagine if every American city that lost manufacturing jobs opened new businesses manufacturing GreenNewDeal hardware for the country and world. Solar panels, wind farms, preconstructed modular homes, greenhouse farming, all the tech to support it.

gtconway3d What is this 'wage growth' I keep hearing about?

IN other words CEO's are worried they will not get a bigger bonus and stockholders will get smaller $$(which CEO's own a lot of stock). The profits these companies make and the dis-portion of pay between workers and management is ridiculous. They need a reminder who does the work

Somehow it is difficult to work up a load of sympathy here. Wages going up means more money in circulation, how is that bad for corporations?

My heart breaks for these corporations. After all, Americans still have a few pennies in the corner of their boxes to extract.

Thank the Democrats
