Geelong have been dealt a massive blow with star defender Tom Stewart suffering a concussion during Saturday night’s clash against Brisbane. In the dying stages of the first half, Stewart attempted to spoil a mark attempt by Kai Lohmann, but smashed straight into the back of the Lion’s head.
Stewart suffers worrying head knock. He fell back and was lying motionless on the ground for several seconds before trainers got out to him. He was able to walk off with some assistance, but was qiuckly ruled out for the remainder of the match and will also miss next week’s blockbuster against Carlton. “Just a nasty one,” Hawthorn great Luke Hodge said. “Come up to do the right thing ...
