Experts say the impact of the capital-gains tax increase are more likely to be felt by long-term investors than those who are flipping properties

But maybe you don’t want to rush into anything. Historically, the capital-gains inclusion rate has many times been adjusted up and down. The rate went from half to two-thirds in the late 1980s and then up to three-quarters from 1990 to 1999.
