Nedbank’s Internet banking and mobile banking apps have been hit by an hours-long outage starting in the mid-morning of Friday, 26 April 2024.The number of reports peaked at 11:00 before dropping sharply, but then picked up again from 11:30.
Numerous customers on X reported issues with accessing the Nedbank mobile banking app throughout the morning. “Please sort out the app issue; it’s been so many hours now. Requested a proof of payment for a payment I made, it’s been 4 hours,” one user said.“Something went wrong on our side,” the message stated. “We’re working on the problem and will be back online as soon as possible. Please try again later.”The bank’s support team responded to some users directly and confirmed it was experiencing “slow responses” on the app.
“The team is working on getting the matter resolved. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused,” Nedbank’s support said.“We are working on resolving this as soon as possible,” it added. MyBroadband asked Nedbank for further feedback on the issue but it did not immediately respond to our request for comment.which aims to encourage constructive discussions.
