The founder of a popular Australian breakfast foods and snack company has revealed her company’s innovative policy allowing employees to work while on holiday. Appearing as a panellist on the ABC’s Q+A on Monday night, Carman’s Kitchen founder Carolyn Creswell spoke about finding the right balance between working from home versus coming into the office.
’ you know, we’re going to go to Bali for 10 days, but I’m quite happy to work 9 till 12 and I’m happy to keep up’, or they might do that three days a week ... and that that’s five days of the year that they haven’t had to take out of their leave policy.” Carman’s Kitchen chief of staff Lainie Tayler told 7NEWS.com.au the policy allowed employees to partially work remotely while on holiday for one week. The policy is designed to “promote a healthy work-life balance”, Tayler said.
