HONG KONG: (AFP) - Asian markets extended a surge on Wall Street Thursday (June 6) as another round of soft US jobs data ramped up bets on the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates this year.

PUTRAJAYA: A special meeting by the Election Commission is being held at Menara SPR here to discuss matters and important dates for the Sungai Bakap state by-election.

The meeting is also attended by EC secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak, and the Commission will hold a press conference after the meeting.
