A driver has been cut off in traffic by another car and then assaulted in a shocking road rage attack on a Victorian road. A dark-coloured Ford Ranger cut off his vehicle on the Hume Fwy in Wodonga at 3.15pm on June 21. The Ranger then stopped in the middle of the Melrose Dr off-ramp in front of the other car. Two men exited the Ranger, as did the 33-year-old driver of the other car, who was then assaulted. The two men returned to the Ranger and fled the scene towards Malony Dr.

The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries and police are now searching for the two men. They were in a Ford Ranger dual-cab ute, which was black or charcoal grey in colour, with a tub. The driver is described as 180cm tall, aged mid to late 30s with an olive complexion, short dark hair and was unshaven. He was wearing an orange hi-vis jumper and work boots at the time of the incident. His passenger is described as 177cm tall and was wearing a white cap, brown hoodie and white Nikes.
