The impact of banking consolidation in the financial eco-system for Nigeria and others countries across the globe will be re-examined in Lagos on July 6, 2024 as a book capturing reforms birthed 20 years ago by the Central Bank of Nigeria , is scheduled for public presentation.
According to a statement by the author, the book peeps into what transpired during and immediately after the exercise; capturing in unmistakable terms how the banking consolidation transformed the Nigerian banking industry placing it side by side with countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The event will be graced by eminent leaders including Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, during whose administration as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria the banking consolidation was implemented.
