A man has allegedly caused a three-car crash that injured a woman when he drove through a red light at a Brisbane intersection. The 26-year-old man has been accused of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he crashed the blue Mazda 3 at the Beaudesert Rd-Hellawell Rd intersection in Sunnybank Hills about 9.40am on Monday.

Driver’s alleged red-light run leads to crash. Dashcam footage shows the light appearing to turn red, allegedly well before the man’s vehicle struck a Mazda CX30 travelling across his path. The impact sent the CX30 into a Toyota Yaris also passing through the intersection, the footage shows. A woman in her 30s driving the CX30 was taken to hospital in a stable condition with unspecified injuries.
