A man and woman have been charged following a police chase in Sydney’s southwest. NSW Police had been patrolling Belmore Road in Riverwood on Wednesday afternoon when they observed a white Range Rover driving erratically. “Officers attempted to stop the car for the purpose of a breath test, and when it allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated,” police said. The pursuit continued onto the M5 where the vehicle came to a stop.
A man, who police allege was the driver, and a woman, were arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station. The 41-year-old man was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, driving a motor vehicle during a disqualification period and hindering or resisting a police officer in the execution of duty.
