“How much money is which politician and government going to leave in my pocket at the end of the day?” is all they ask. I wonder if Bill would say that things have changed today?The very fabrics of our countries, many of them around the globe, are changing by the mass movements of people probably started by Angela Merkel’s saviour complex.

There is also the fact that in those other three countries those right-wing parties have been propelled to prominence against a background of centrist governments, while in the UK the likely outgoing regime is at least nominally to the right of centre . The Liberal Democrats may emerge as the official opposition, but without some very drastic alterations to policy and personalities, I don’t see them prevailing in 2029.
