Newly-elected Green Party MPs and co-leaders Carla Denyer and Adrian Ramsay alongside MP for Brighton Pavilion Sian Berry and MP for North Herefordshire Ellie Chowns The seat of Brighton Pavilion was defended by the Green Party of England and Wales with new MP Sian Berry succeeding outgoing parliamentarian Caroline Lucas.It is the most successful general election night ever for the party and saw it winning former strongholds from across the political spectrum.
Ramsay’s joint leader Carla Denyer was elected in Bristol West, ousting senior Labour politician Thangam Debbonaire who had been expected to become a Cabinet Minister in the new government. “I feel so privileged to have this opportunity to serve you and ensure that the real hope that inspired so many people to vote Green is represented in Parliament,” Denyer added.
