German house and trance DJ Tomcraft, whose real name is Thomas Bruckner, has died aged 49. The German musician shot to fame in the early 2000s with the track Loneliness, which shot to number one in the UK. He famously played to 1.3 million revellers at Berlin’s infamous Love Parade in 2003. On Thursday, The Sun reported the musician’s family announced the death, however the cause has not been revealed.
” Bruckner was born in the German city of Munich but found fame on European dance floors with Loneliness — which became a worldwide hit with partygoers. The song was used in the hit film Saltburn, last year. Bruckner spoke to Jon Kutner and Spencer Leigh, titled 1,000 Number One Hits, the DJ spoke about the success of the song. “The lyrics say that happiness seems to be loneliness and loneliness killed my world,” he said.
