A new study by accounting software company MYOB has found that nearly half of all young entrepreneurs aged 18-39 have a business plan, far higher than any other generation.
Seventeen year old Ali Kitinas is among Australia’s youngest rising stars. Her business re-cycles used coffee grounds into a body care range.“For every scrub sold we help support women rescued from human trafficking and modern day slavery in Australia,” the year 12 student told Small Business Secrets.
As a teenage CEO, Ali has also struggled to be taken seriously in business, among older and more experienced leaders. She’s also taken part in young entrepreneur events organised by Virgin boss Richard Branson, and is active within Australian social justice groups. “They provide a business based solution to a problem rather than painting placards and demanding change.”
