Opinion: If Labour want to beat Boris, it needs to become far more than an anti-austerity party

Labour is committed to leaving the European Union but would have different negotiating priorities to the Conservatives. It has said it would have a “strong emphasis” on staying in the single market and the customs union. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and leading figures in Brussels have been unambiguous that membership of the single market is impossible without free movement.

It needs to become an opposition party, not a nod & a wink party to the Tories. Back to grass roots, something ordinary people can believe in.

UKLabour jeremycorbyn very sorry but you & your party are not trustworthy & infact neither is BorisJohnson or the conservatives at this time and I have voted blue a long time all the main parties have delivered poor politics for far too long & have forgot about the people
