Member of López Obrador’s cabinet cites differences with president over economic policy and officials he considered to be insufficiently preparedMEXICO CITY—Mexican Finance Minister Carlos Urzúa resigned from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s cabinet, citing differences over economic policy and what he considered to be insufficiently prepared officials.

In a resignation letter posted on his official Twitter account on Tuesday, and confirmed by the government, Mr. Urzúa said he felt pushed to resign from the post he has held since Dec. 1 when Mr. López Obrador took office.
