President Cyril Ramaphosa used the first sitting of his presidential economic advisory council to announce that he will soon be appointing two more councils.

“Invest SA has commenced work to improve key indicators, such as starting a business, registering property, dealing with construction permits, paying taxes and trading across borders,” he added.

Ramaphosa said cabinet was discussing the Integrated Resource Plan, which deals with government’s energy strategy and policy, and will be soon be released.“This is a very important exercise because it consolidates all the work by Eskom's board and management, government departments and the various task teams advising government to turn around our electricity entity and to reform energy markets,” said Ramaphosa, adding that it will help bring Eskom to financial and operational stability.

He said the South African Investment Conference, expected to take place in November, will hear updates on the department of trade, industry and competition’s effort to develop industrial strategy masterplans, as well as a planned Infrastructure Fund. “Much work is being done to improve confidence and regain credibility and trust by implementing those reforms that already enjoy support and have been under discussion for some time,” said Ramaphosa.

Results is all that matters. Lets wait and see

What have we done to deserve such a leader va ka hina?

Squirrel loves him a council. They're going to need a council to manage all these councils. The Council of Councils.

Get rid of the unions and the BEEE and the economy will move forward. Don't and it will die for sure.

We are still waiting for feedback from the 'pack of lions' he sent out to the world look for FDIs. All talk but less action.

Zuma must go... Zuma must go, and so he did into oblivion, tail between the legs, humiliated, bartered and bruised... And then 'the new Dawn arrived' to the sounds of ululation and pampered chariots, and so they waited for milk and honey, promised in the midst of their confusion.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

He really is the PA of this country, question is whose running the country.

We have a president who is just clueless. The man is a failure, he must just step down.

Please replace this communist with a real businessman not a BEE beneficiary. What needs to be done is relatively straight forward for any person skilled and experienced in the world of business.

Another one😭

The MYANC and their Thumamina were not ready to govern, where their manifesto and Nasrec resolutions (including previous government administrations resolutions) just an electioneering hullabaloo? Sadly the layman voter is so inept and keeps voting in these wolves! Frauds! Sad!

Presidential intern is in way above his head 😏

I volunteer to be in the soon-to-be-created Council that will advice the recently created Council that will look into all Councils created when he took office.

And who is paying them ? On top of the uselessness ministers we have to pay Councils - He surely knows how to waste our taxes

He sets up council and committees and enquiries ...talk shops

If its not a commission its a council, the next thing petrol price increases. Confusion at its best.

More Councils more payroll... more debt... more looting

Haha! We are so fooked.

Nextweek another one

This are clear signs, which we will remember one day when we are at the point of no return. For now it raining but then it will be flooding. I have lost hope and trust.

Open another commission and spend billions over 5 years hauling business leaders & grilling them on why the economy is in decline while MyANC leaders & cadres are not in jail for the Trillions lost in economy from decades of corruption, incompetence & economic sabotage.

This will help

It's just some paraffin steam

Another one 😂🤣🤣😂🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️😳😳😳

Are they volunteering or volunteering is for us who are poor

Councils,Task Teams same shit,Painted a different colour!

I used to think that this man had a clue since he was in business.

Okay, how many more groups of people do you need around you to make you look intelligent? How much more time are you planning to spend between 4 walls? WHY can't you just get the court cases going and get these fools behind bars? WHY WHY WHY? CyrilRamaphosa PresidencyZA

The best these councils can do is to give useless cyril his trekpas. Noticably few real captains of industry are seen with this loser because they know hes bad news. He stayed silent 9 years under zuma? Pah!

O ho

He's a billionaire, he can start by donating half of his wealth.

Other countries r strong in tech, manufacturing, tourism etc. looks like in SA the only way to get any meaningful career is to b part of all these innumerable commissions n councils...thts where the money is in SA ..pity universities don't offer commission n councils studies

How many has he set up already

How much are they going to cost?

Are you seriously our president vele CyrilRamaphosa with the recent xenophobic attacks and the image of the country tarnished and still unrests particularly the protests at the UN offices. How then Do you rely our turnaround to that sector. South Africa is not safe ask Africans.

We doubling down now on the appointment of councils/commissions. That will really show the people how serious we are about sorting out our shit, wow.

Another brilliant move. More salaries, no return.

We're from useless summits, task teams, presidential what what now councils what's next?

We really do need more of these commissions, councils, forums, etc..there's a building full of people at Treasury..what are they employed for kanti if not to come up with solutions to get us out of this quicksand!?😤

Ramaphosa will never achieve anything. Even given 400 years. His building by destruction policy doesn't work.

How many more. Talk only, no action. Delaying the inevitable?
