George Conway asserted that 33 years ago Rudy Giuliani would have indicted himself today in a"New York minute" over his involvement in the Ukraine matter at the center of the ongoing impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.
"Rudy 1986 would have indicted Rudy 2019 in a New York minute," wrote Conway, husband of White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, on Twitter. The attorney and former Republican has been one of the most vocal critics of the Trump administration, despite the fact that he is married to senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway.In 1986, Giuliani was serving as the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York and was involved in leading an aggressive push to prosecute Mafia leaders.
According to officials, the indicted associates had been helping Giuliani investigate Biden. Giuliani has acknowledged that he tried to look into the Bidens in his capacity as the president's personal attorney. "I don't know them, I don't know about them, I don't know what they do. Maybe they were clients of Rudy. You'd have to ask Rudy," Trump told reporters outside of the White House."I just don't know."
