Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese will use his first vision statement to attempt to reset Labor's climate policy, framing it around 'jobs' and 'clean energy' as a means to fuel an economic boom. Mr Albanese will seek to create a "low carbon future... paved with hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs", including traditional jobs such as coal mining.

Shadow Assistant Treasurer Stephen Jones told Sky News Mr Albanese will be “focusing on jobs and the jobs we need to turn the economy around because we know that growth is flagging… expenses are going up, but wages aren’t”. The Labor leader will seek to move away from Bill Shorten's 'class warfare' rhetoric, painting Labor as a pro-business party interested in creating wealth rather than redistributing it.
