After two days of falls, the Australian share market could be set to rise at the start of trade. Stocks on Wall Street give up some of their gains after reports US-China trade talks have hit a snag.

After two days of falls, the Australian share market could be set to rise at the start of trade but there was a mixed lead from overseas markets, with Wall Street giving up ground in late trade.AUD: 68.34 US cents, 53.18 British pence, 62.09 Euro cents, 74.35 Japanese yen, $NZ1.07Europe: FTSE 100 -0.2pc at 7,351, DAX -0.4pc at 13,230, CAC -0.2pc at 5,907, Euro Stoxx 50 -0.

The blue chip index was boosted by a rise in Walt Disney shares . The company said its new Disney+ streaming service had reached 10 million sign-ups since its launch the previous day. The unemployment rate is forecast to edge higher to 5.3 per cent, after falling to 5.2 per cent in September.
