MAIN opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa says he is making frantic efforts to push the Southern African Development Community to schedule talks between him and President Emmerson Mnangagwa inorder to find common ground to help fix the ailing economy.

The former Citizens Coalition for Change leader was addressing mourners at the funeral of 2023 elections losing Chirumhanzu South candidate Patrick Cheza's mother-in-law, Petronella Mukwende , in Chivi North at the weekend. "The economy is in tatters and it is affecting every citizen. I am not talking politics but state of the economy.

"We have the best country, we have the richest country, we have the most beautiful country in the world, and the people themselves are beautiful and have kind hearts that is why there is no war even if things are messed up. We don't fight but work together to correct it."
