IG Australia’s Kyle Rodda says “the ASX 200 has jumped out of the gates with 0.3 per cent gains so far” in early trading on Monday morning.

The market analyst told Sky News the jump was “on the back of a Wall Street lead on Friday night which saw the S&P 500 touch very briefly on new all-time highs”.

Mr Rodda said Australia had a “notionally positive start to what’s going to be a very busy week” and this was due to “some more niceties between the US and China on trade”. Image: AP
